Our client Headquartered in the UK specialising in delivering service and innovative solutions in the office supplies industry are seeking to hire Credit Controllers to join their finance team in Kenya. The ideal candidates will be responsible for managing and maintaining the company’s
 accounts receivable portfolio, ensuring timely collection of outstanding debts, and reducing credit risk. These positions are ideal for individuals with a strong understanding of financial processes and a customer-centric approach.

Key Responsibilities:

Credit Account Management:
• Manage and maintain customer credit accounts, ensuring all payments are received on time.
• Monitor outstanding debts and proactively work to reduce overdue balances.
• Conduct credit checks on both new and existing clients periodically.
• Collaborate with the sales and finance teams to manage and adjust credit limits.

Client Communication & Dispute Resolution:
• Communicate with clients regarding overdue invoices and offer solutions, including payment plans where appropriate.
• Resolve disputes or issues related to client payments in a professional and timely manner.
• Prepare and send monthly statements and reminders to clients regarding overdue payments.

Reporting & Account Reconciliation:
• Prepare and submit regular reports on debtors and overdue accounts to senior management.
• Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies promptly to ensure accurate records.
• Monitor and report on aging accounts, providing regular status updates on collections.

Legal & Compliance Coordination:
• Liaise with the legal team when necessary to initiate collections processes.
• Ensure compliance with internal financial policies, company credit policies, and external regulations.

Qualifications and Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years experience in credit control or accounts receivable.
• Strong knowledge of credit management and financial reporting.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word) and financial software (knowledge of ERP systems is a plus).
• Previous experience in a similar role within a multi-national company is an advantage.
• Knowledge of International Accounting Standards is an added advantage
