Job Description: Field Supervisor – Building Works

Responsibilities:

• -Supervise construction site activities to ensure compliance with safety regulations and building codes.

• -Ensure that all site records are prepared and submitted on time.

• -Assist in preparing progress reports for construction works.

• -Review construction drawings and make necessary changes based on site conditions, with approval from the Construction Manager.

• -Develop geometric designs using AutoCAD, Civil CAD, or other relevant software based on survey results.

• Oversee foremen, skilled, and unskilled workers to ensure high-quality workmanship.

• -Enforce health and safety practices, including the use of protective equipment.

• -Identify and manage potential safety hazards on-site.

• -Prepare work and resource schedules, ensuring that the site team and subcontractors follow plans and complete work within the set timeframe.

• -Ensure that all construction work is of good quality, follows specifications, and uses approved materials.

• -Assess, evaluate, and report daily performance of labor and equipment.

• Provide clear written and verbal instructions to the site team and subcontractors, resolving any project-related challenges efficiently.

• -Address conflicts or issues that arise during construction and escalate matters to the Construction Manager when necessary.

Skills and Experience:

• -A degree in Civil Engineering, Building and Construction, or a related field, with extensive experience in site supervision.

• -Alternatively, a diploma in Civil Engineering, Building and Construction, or a related field, with a strong background in supervising civil works.

• -Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including MS Project, and engineering software such as AutoCAD.

• Strong understanding of specifications and methodologies for civil engineering works.

• -Excellent planning, organization, and problem-solving skills.

• -Proven ability to manage projects with multi-disciplinary teams.
