- Our client, a reputable and busy hospital dedicated to providing quality healthcare services, is seeking to hire a Human Resource Officer to join their team. This role is key in ensuring operational efficiency and effective HR service delivery across departments in the hospital.
- Support the implementation of HR policies and procedures in line with hospital goals and compliance requirements.
- Oversee day-to-day HR operations including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, and performance management.
- Maintain accurate employee records including contracts, leave, attendance, and disciplinary actions.
- Collaborate with department heads to understand staffing needs and assist in workforce planning.
- Support the execution of training and development programs to build staff capacity.
- Handle employee grievances and disciplinary matters in line with hospital procedures and labor laws.
- Monitor HR metrics such as staff turnover, absenteeism, and recommend improvements.
- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements such as NHIF, NSSF, PAYE, and other labor regulations.
- Coordinate employee wellness and engagement initiatives to boost morale and productivity.
- Prepare HR reports and provide regular updates to management on key HR indicators.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- A minimum of 3–5 years of HR experience in a busy hospital or healthcare environment.
- Knowledge of Kenyan labor laws and HR best practices.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and handle sensitive situations with discretion.
- Proficiency in HR systems and MS Office Suite.
